Halley VI. Research Station, Antarctica Base - OKAGEL

###address### ###name###,

Everyone is talking about global warming. Limited deposits of raw material as well as increasing energy prices are forcing us to react quickly. That is why we would like to use the first edition of our Newsletter 2008 to demonstrate where the possibilities of saving energy in building shells lie. As a subscriber to OKA-News you enjoy the priveledge of receiving this information first and exclusively.

We make our contribution to protecting the climate!

Since 1962 OKALUX has been intensively occupied with the question of how intelligent façade products can reduce the energy consumption of building shells - be it through heat insulation, an increased use of daylight, or the selective gain of solar thermal energy. Sophisticated functional glass is one of the results of a continuously growing know-how and intensive development of transparent heat insulation.

OKAGEL with nanotechnolgy: Optimal heat insulation at the highest esthetic level

With its functional glass product OKAGEL, OKALUX is able to offer a Ug-value of 0.3 W/(m²K) for a large dimension, translucent building shell. This corresponds to a passive house standard.

You can find all of the advantages in the OKAGEL-Infotext.

Current object: Halley VI. Research Station, Antarctica Base

An exciting example of the application of OKAGEL is the Halley VI research station in the Antarctic. Under extreme climate conditions the glass ensures cozy warmth in the station while at the same time diffusing soft daylight in the recreation rooms.
